Key Responsibilities:

1. Franchise Development Strategy

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve franchise sales targets.

  • Identify priority markets for expansion based on market analysis and brand positioning.

  • Collaborate with marketing for lead generation campaigns.


2. Franchise Sales Execution

  • Qualify prospective franchisees through interviews, applications, and financial review.

  • Present the franchise opportunity through Discovery Days, webinars, and meetings.

  • Guide candidates through the sales process from inquiry to signing of the Franchise Agreement.


 

3. Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective franchisees.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales cycle.

  • Represent the brand at franchise expos, conferences, and industry events.


 

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with legal, operations, and finance to support the onboarding process.

  • Work with training and operations teams to ensure smooth transitions for new franchisees.


 

5. Reporting & Forecasting

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, and sales activities in CRM.

  • Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline reports to executive leadership.

  • Analyze conversion metrics to optimize the sales process.


 

6. Compliance & Brand Alignment

  • Ensure all franchise sales activities comply with FDD (Franchise Disclosure Document) regulations and legal requirements.

  • Uphold brand values and ensure prospective franchisees align with brand standards.


 

7. Market Intelligence & Research

  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify trends, threats, and opportunities in franchise markets.

  • Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes affecting franchise sales.

  • Utilize data analytics to refine market targeting and lead qualification strategies.


 

8. Leadership & Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of franchise sales managers or recruiters (if applicable).

  • Set performance targets, conduct performance reviews, and coach team members.

  • Foster a results-driven and collaborative team culture.


 

9. Budgeting & Financial Oversight

  • Manage the franchise sales budget and ensure ROI on lead generation investments.

  • Work with finance to determine appropriate franchise fee structures and payment terms.

  • Analyze the financial viability of potential franchisees.


 

10. Franchise Marketing Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the marketing department to design targeted franchise recruitment campaigns.

  • Review marketing materials, landing pages, and franchise brochures for accuracy and impact.

  • Attend trade shows and events as a brand ambassador to promote the franchise opportunity.


 

11. Legal & Documentation Oversight

  • Liaise with legal teams to ensure Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs) are current and compliant.

  • Review franchise agreements and support negotiations with prospective franchisees.

  • Track all necessary documentation, NDAs, and compliance forms throughout the process.


 

12. Onboarding Oversight

  • Work closely with operations to streamline new franchisee onboarding processes.

  • Provide insights and feedback on onboarding materials and orientation sessions.

  • Ensure smooth hand-off from sales to operations with full documentation and context.


 

13. Brand Stewardship

  • Vet prospective franchisees for cultural fit, values, and commitment to brand integrity.

  • Promote the brand's mission, vision, and standards to all prospective candidates.

  • Enforce brand guidelines throughout the franchise development process.


 

14. Strategic Partnership Development

  • Identify and build relationships with brokers, consultants, and third-party franchise sales networks.

  • Collaborate with investment groups or master franchise developers for multi-unit deals.

  • Cultivate partnerships with real estate firms to support site selection for new franchisees.


 

15. Technology & Automation Integration

  • Evaluate and implement franchise sales software and CRM systems to streamline workflows.

  • Leverage automation tools for lead nurturing, follow-ups, and reporting.

  • Ensure proper data tracking and security for all franchise candidate information.


 

16. Franchise Candidate Education

  • Design and oversee educational materials and programs (videos, FAQs, webinars) for potential franchisees.

  • Host Franchise Discovery Days, in-person or virtual, to present the opportunity in detail.

  • Ensure candidates understand operational, legal, and financial responsibilities.


 

17. Pipeline Optimization

  • Continually refine the franchise development funnel to reduce drop-offs and improve conversion.

  • Segment leads by readiness, location, and fit to prioritize high-quality candidates.

  • Conduct A/B testing on messaging and outreach methods to improve engagement.


 

18. Brand Expansion Analysis

  • Research and propose new domestic and international markets for brand expansion.

  • Evaluate local demographics, regulatory requirements, and economic conditions.

  • Present feasibility reports and recommendations to senior leadership.


 

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • 7+ years in franchise sales or development, preferably in a leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of franchise laws, FDDs, and franchise agreements.

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
